Can we be a team of two, three or five?
Oxfam Trailwalker is a team endurance challenge. Each team must consist of four members. This is also for your own health and safety on the challenge. In an emergency, one member should stay with the wounded and the other two should go for a help. Please, be aware that a team with 4 members are eligible for registration and any team with less than 4 members cannot start the event.
Registration Fee and fundraising

Oxfam Trailwalker is more than a simple sports event: the purpose of the event is to raise funds in aid of Oxfam's work with others to help overcome poverty and injustice.

* Each team is eligible for participation in the event when they pay USD 400 of registration fee and raise more than USD 500 of donation.

The money you raise will help lift people out of poverty across the globe and provide for Oxfam’s emergency response including safe water, sanitation and hygiene supply.

What if we can't raise the minimum sponsorship?

Team must have fundraised at least the minimum USD 500 by 13 August 2021, 18:00 to be eligible to participate in the event. Teams that fail to do so will be unable to start without the prior approval of the event organisers. The reason we have this rule is because Oxfam Trailwalker is a fundraising event and it isn't fair on other participants who have met the fundraising deadline.

The donation will be used for emergency response such as supplying water and sanitation facilities to those in need of help in 94 countries.

Refund policy

Oxfam Trailwalker is more than a simple sports event: it is a global fundraising project for those suffering from poverty all around the world. In line with global Oxfam Trailwalker policy, registration fee and the raised fund is non-refundable.

If your team withdraws from participation, you can transfer your registration fee for participation in Oxfam Trailwalker Korea 2022. (The raised fund will be donated in its entirety.)

Can we replace members of our team?
You can replace team members until 2 May 2025 on your teampage.
Walking 100km is a huge challenge. As it requires a lot of training to prepare for the event, such as walking training in a team and night walking, it is impossible to replace a member after 2 May 2025 for safety reasons.
Tax-deductible receipt
·    (For Korea taxpayers only) Registration fee and donations are tax-deductible with an official receipt. For issuing receipts, you must enter your identification card numbers. Your personal information will be registered at National Tax Office after the event, and you will be able to check the registered information on Hometax Website.

·    (For overseas taxpayers) Receipts for tax deduction purposes will only be issued upon request. However, Oxfam in Korea cannot guarantee whether you can claim tax deduction in your own country.  To request a receipt, please contact us at trailwalker@oxfam.or.kr. Be sure to include you and your sponsor’s detailed information.
