Gear to Wear/Carry

Prepare your clothing for quickly-changing weather.

  • Wear waterproof jacket and pants.
  • Wear hiking boots.
  • Your feet may get damp with water or sweat. Bring anti-blister cream and spare pairs of socks.
  • Wear a hat for the sun and heavy rain.
  • Weather may change more quickly than forecasted. Be prepared for all kinds of weather conditions.
  • Bring compulsory items per person and per team in your rucksack.

Wear layers of clothes

Wear several layers of clothing of short sleeves, long sleeves and jacket. Wear or take off the layers as the weather changes - short sleeve t-shirt for hot weather and jacket for the night hours and rain.

Underwear and t-shirts

Wear functional, breathable underwear and base layer t-shirt that would transport sweat or moisture away from the skin. If sweat or moisture is left next to the skin it can create discomfort and you may catch a cold.

T-shirt/fleece

Wear functional, breathable t-shirt and fleece as well. For night trekking, bring light-weight and thermal fleece as well.

Jacket

Wear waterproof jacket, preferable one with the cover for ear and head.
