Important Information Regarding the Bag-drop Service

  • To ensure smooth transportation of your items, each team may only deposit one Bag-drop at each checkpoint. Only items packed in the official event Bag-drop bags can be stored. (You can use up to 2 checkpoints.)
    • Allowed examples : Deposit one bag at Checkpoints 5 and 7, for a total of two bags. / Deposit one bag at each of the required checkpoints (e.g., use a Bag-drop at two different checkpoints, for a total of two bags, or use one Bag-drop at a single checkpoint).
    • Not allowed examples : Depositing both bags at one checkpoint / Storing items not fitting in the Bag-drop (e.g., tents, suitcases, etc.)
  • Bag-drop Size: 55 cm (width) x 65 cm (height)
  • Once your items are deposited, they cannot be retrieved from anywhere other than the designated checkpoint. Therefore, please carry essential items (such as required equipment) with you during the race.
  • Valuables (e.g., jewelry, high-value electronics, cash, etc.) cannot be stored due to the risk of loss or damage. The event organizers are not responsible for any damage or loss of stored items.

Maximizing the Use of the Bag-drop: Tips from the Organizing Committee

We highly recommend maximizing the use of the Bag-drop Service for an efficient and smooth 100km walk.
The following scenarios are based on the experiences of the organizing committee staff, who have participated in trail running and long-distance walking events. Please refer to them and adapt the strategies to suit your team’s needs.

Before the Event

  • Review the course information on the website and sort out the items to be sent to CP 5 and 7 in advance.
(For the 50K, you can only send items to CP5, and the 25K does not offer a Race Bag service.)

  • Essential items must always be carried with you and should not be placed in the Bag-drop.

  • Items larger than the Bag-drop size (55 cm x 65 cm) cannot be accepted.

Examples of Items to Send

  • CP5: Change of clothes (+lightweight jacket), underwear, socks, towel.
As the clothes worn will likely be wet by CP5, I plan to send a change of clothes there. The worn clothes will be placed in the Bag-drop to be sent to the finish line.
Since the temperature drops at night, I will also include a lightweight jacket.

  • CP7: Shorts, socks, energy gels.
I plan to switch to lighter clothing in the later stages. To lighten my bag, I will also send any items I no longer need, such as spare clothes, sunscreen, and wet wipes, to the finish line via the Bag-drop.

On Event Day

  • Pick up the welcome pack, which includes two Bag-drop bags, during on-site registration on Friday and place the sorted items into the bags.

  • Since each team can send one Bag-drop per checkpoint, make sure the bags are filled accordingly.

  • To avoid the registration area and Bag-drop booth being crowded on race day, plan to arrive at least an hour early.

  • When handing over your Bag-drop, the team leader’s bib number will be used to label the bags with stickers for each checkpoint.

At Checkpoints with Bag-drop Service:

  • Show the bib number with the team leader’s sticker when retrieving your Bag-drop.

  • Take out and use the items you need, then place the items to be sent to the finish line into the Bag-drop and return it. If there are no items to return, you can dispose of the plastic bag.

  • If the team leader drops out during the event, the team members should take the leader’s bib number and retrieve the Bag-drop on their behalf.

At the Finish Line:

  • Go to the Bag-drop service booth at the finish area, confirm your bib number, and collect your team’s items.

Please refer to the above guidelines and complete your life-saving journey through the 100km, 50km, and 25km race!
